What is Polygon?

Polygon is a scaling solution that provides multiple tools to improve performance and reduce the costs and complexities of transactions on blockchains. At the heart of Polygon’s vision lies Ethereum, a platform that enables a wide variety of decentralized applications, from virtual worlds to games, art, and financial services. However, when there is too much transaction volume on its blockchain it becomes almost unusable, as transaction fees are astronomical when the chain becomes congested.

Enter Polygon. In a nutshell, Polygon bills itself as a layer-2 network, meaning it acts as an add-on layer to Ethereum that does not seek to change the original blockchain layer. Like its geometric namesake, Polygon has many sides, shapes, and uses and promises a simpler framework for building interconnected networks.

Polygon wants to help Ethereum expand in size, security, efficiency, and usefulness and seeks to spur developers to bring enticing products to market all the quicker. After the rebranding, Polygon retained its MATIC cryptocurrency, the digital coin underpinning the network. MATIC is used as the unit of payment and settlement between participants who interact within the network.

Polygon x PUML

The PUML app is designed to bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3 with a unique combination of in-app PUML coin and crypto token $PUMLx. Both Move-to-earn and Move-to-Own models will be supported in PUML. Participants will be able to earn PUML coins, $PUMLx tokens as well as PUML Polygon NFTs by completing in-app challenges.

PUML + Ethereum

The original vision for PUML was to be a mass-market product, something that could bridge the gap between web 2 and web 3 users. At the time, and even still today, Ethereum was not a scalable platform. This is why PUML was originally built on EOS.

EOS uses a delegated proof of stake consensus mechanism as opposed to Ethereum’s Proof of Work. No one even knew what proof of stake was in 2018–2019 when PUML was founded. EOS was created by Dan Larimer, a very smart guy who was quite good friends with Vitalik, and he understood the issues the ETH was dealing with, with their scaling. At the time the EOS platform offered more opportunities that would allow PUML to build a mass market app, and that’s why PUML originally chose to go with EOS.

As the market continued to evolve and as Ethereum became more scaleable with the invention of layer 2 scaling solutions and the evolution of NFTs, it made sense to migrate over to an ERC20 EVM world where the biggest markets for NFTs were being built. PUML’s flagship Genisis Sports Athlete NFTs are built on Ethereum as the PUMLx token which is in the works.

Burning PUML(EOS) for PUMLx

As PUML will be delisted from all exchanges and lose all current in-app value, we wanted to ensure you weren’t missing out on any of your gains. We’re going to be providing a straightforward process for you to burn your PUML and receive PUMLx in a 2:1 exchange (2 PUML : 1 PUMLx). The process is explained below:

1. Acquire the PUML Burn address from this link; https://bloks.io/account/pumlburnburn
2. Prepare a transaction to send PUML token from your EOS wallet to the PUML Burn account
3. Add your Ethereum address in the memo. This step is crucial and you will not receive PUMLx without it
4. Send the transaction

Burning your PUML for PUMLx is currently the only way you’ll be able to keep your value and we’ve ensured this is the easiest process possible. Should you have questions on the process, our team is always available to help in the official PUML Telegram.

In-App Wallet Integration

Due to delisting PUML off of EOS, the EOS wallet will be removed from the PUML app and replaced with Ethereum native wallets. This will include Metamask and wallet connect, to ensure any Ethereum compatible wallet can be connected to our app. Eventually as PUML begins to branch out, other chains will become available and wallets will connect seamlessly.

Future of PUML

As PUMLx aims to launch onto Ethereum in late this year, we look towards the future excitedly and seek to continue developing our world renowned health products/services. Delisting from EOS is not the end, but a new beginning for the PUML ecosystem and our beloved community. Over the coming months, PUML will pursue new goals including:

• PUMLx listings on multiple DEXs and key CEXs
• Increased releases of new challenges on the PUML app
• Minting/release of our flagship Athlete NFTs
• Minting/release of our Digital Wearables
